::::::::::: Drumroll ::::::::::

The Charity auctions for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust finished today and raised the grand total of...............

£3201.75

This will make an enormous difference to the Trust, and I'm so grateful to everyone who has been so generous.

The top price was made by the "Lesanju" piece, which finally sold for £670. Incredible!

And guess what? We're doing it all over again! Watch this space to find out about when the next auction will be taking place.

Julia - it was so nice of you to contact me. I'm really pleased you managed to win the Kimana and Siria pieces. Making them was an absolute pleasure, and it is the generosity of people like yourself who made the event such a success. I hope you enjoy wearing your new pendants!

Heather, I was thrilled to learn there will be another auction coming up.
Also, I was wondering why they didn't include Shimba in this one as he has been there awhile, and hope he will be represented in the next one. I know there are also a few more very new babies and hope they will have their own "line" of jewelry soon. LOL.
Anyway, I will watch with great interest but will probably want to give others a chance at owning one of these very special pieces.
Can't wait to hear more bout the next auction and am excited to see the jewelry. Take care, Julia S. Virginia, USA

I have just received my Suguta necklace and it is just wonderful. Thank you so much for creating this lovely piece of jewelry. I did bids on several pieces as I am fostering parent of several elephant orphans and I was so happy that I managed to win the Suguta necklace as Suguta is a such a sweet little elephant.
I am sure that your generous offering of your jewelry and the success of the aution will be of great help for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
I can't wait for the next auction coming up.
Kindest regards, Claudia Somm, Switzerland

Claudia, I'm so glad that you are pleased with "Suguta" and that it has arrived safely. I never imagined how successful the auctions would be, and their success has been completely due to the generosity of people like yourself.

Yes, we will be doing the whole thing all over again early in 2009 so keep checking back here for news!

I hope you'll find something you like enough to place a bid on next time. Very many thanks.

Heather, I just received my Kimana and Siria necklaces today. I was so excited I couldn't wait to get them open! They are even more breathtaking than I remembered.
My friend, Carol, who did my bidding by proxy, is eyeing the siria necklace enviously!!
I can't wait to show them off!
Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity to own a beautiful piece of jewelry AND help out the orphan eles I love so much.
Sincerely, Julia Sciotto (hippo22)
